There are few settings that exemplify the importance of adequate signage than that of healthcare and medical facilities. Your signage needs to portray both professionalism and care. Patients will often be visiting your facility at a time of high stress or personal crisis, so healthcare signage should be easily identifiable, simple to read, and communicate precisely and effectively.

Consider all aspects of a patient’s visit:

Is your building signage easily visible from the road? If you’re in a shared suite, is your branding displayed prominently on a an exterior sign or building directory? We can provide custom-printed graphics on a variety of weatherproof substrates to help clients find you.

Ensure your décor is welcoming and calming to help soothe inevitable medical anxieties. Wall graphics, vinyl wraps, and photographic prints are excellent options for making an area less clinical. Remember, a paediatrician’s office may have very different aesthetic requirements from a podiatry clinic, so ample thought should be given to your choice of colours, fonts, and graphics, and the effect these choices may have on the message you’re trying to communicate.

Make sure your signage conveys all the necessary information your patients may need, such as opening times and practice policies. Utilise custom-printed posters and display stands to present instructions and infographics of interest.

Check your facility is compliant with all regulatory and safety signage, including emergency evacuation directions and general wayfinding.

If you’re confused about where to start, the professionals at SIGNWAVE can walk through your facility with you to help guide you in optimum sign placement.
