SIGNWAVE Australia’s general manager, Linda Sultmann and franchise development manager, Dean Rowland have been nominated in this year’s ProPrint Power 50. Every year, the ProPrint Power 50 celebrates 50 individuals who made their mark on Australian print.

We encourage all supporters of SIGNWAVE to cast their votes for Dean and Linda here.

It’s been an incredibly successful journey for SIGNWAVE Australia after Linda and Dean took the helm – acquiring the Australian master franchise licence from US parent company, FASTSIGNS in 2013. In those three years, SIGNWAVE has enjoyed steady growth with sales rising 13.3% in 2014, by 3.6% in 2015 and on track to reach 10% in 2016.

Their intention was to give the company and its franchisees the best possible chances to build successful businesses and strong profit margins. Between them, Linda Sultmann and Dean Rowland’s extensive business acumen and local market knowledge has benefited the entire SIGNWAVE Australia network. Initial success has enabled them to put together a team dedicated to providing ongoing, hands-on support for SIGNWAVE centres.

Linda Sultmann

Linda Sultmann

In a career that began in her parents’ small businesses, Linda ascended to senior management roles in multinational companies, Estee Lauder and L’Oréal. Her corporate business management experience allowed her to go on to establish several of her own successful businesses in hospitality, event management and business consulting.

She formed a partnership with BRW Fast 100 company, Shirlaws Business Consultants, then started her own practice. White Room Consulting was founded to specialise in the small business sector (under $10m) for which she has always had a strong commitment.

For over 30 years, Linda has worked to build the commercial success of enterprises in a vast array of industry sectors and business types. This breadth and depth of experience translates into an intimate knowledge of the requirements of small business entrepreneurship with a simple, structured and hands-on approach to working with business owners.

Dean Rowland

Dean Rowland

From early on, Dean had a strong love of the arts and music that only grew after he played in orchestras, brass ensembles and live bands. It was to pay dividends.

Prior to his role as managing director of SIGNWAVE Newtown and eventually master franchisor of SIGNWAVE Australia, Dean was business development manager at Flash Graphics where he cultivated a number of high profile accounts in the arts and cultural sector as well as retaining key retail industry clients such as Rebel Sport and Polo Ralph Lauren.

His business success was founded on a solid background in retail management training earned with retail conglomerate Coles Myer and innovative media specialist, Letraset.  Bolstered by a graphic design and marketing tertiary degree, Dean has remained committed to evolving and elevating both the creation and delivery of graphics materials as well as the level of communication with clients.

SIGNWAVE Newtown has been the leading Australian SIGNWAVE store for more than 14 years in the 16 it has been trading. Servicing clients such as McDonalds, KFC, The Australian Museum, Taronga Zoo and the Sydney Opera House, SIGNWAVE Newtown has consistently produced impactful products for organisations that demand service and results second to none. Dean’s background has led to significant business success in arts and cultural festivals - including meeting the signage requirements for the illustrious Sydney Festival for almost a decade.

We encourage all supporters of SIGNWAVE to cast their votes for Dean and Linda here.
