SIGNWAVE® Hawthorn has been operating since 2004 and is one of the fastest growing stores of all the SIGNWAVE® franchises in Australia. In 2008 the growth of the business was recognized internationally by being the recipient of the Growing Sales Achievement Award.

Both owners of the business, Tina & Steve Anderson, work full time in the business, which means that they personally manage and monitor the quality of the work produced, overseeing its passage through design and production. This is a personalized service that is highly prized by clients and not readily available in larger businesses.

We use state of the art computer aided sign making systems and techniques for all types of signs from simple signs to complex fabrications.

Our expertise lies in custom made signs from conception to completion. We pride ourselves on time and on budget deliveries. We are small enough to respond rapidly and large enough to be professional.

The majority of our work is carried out in-house so we have control on both quality and turnaround, so when there are tight deadlines we have the flexibility to meet them.

We also have graphic design capability in-house, so we can advise our clients on the best sign layout and design. Our qualified graphic designer has over 6 years experience working in the sign industry, so he has a thorough understanding of good effective sign design.

This is a critical point of difference between our graphic design capability and the majority of creative design houses where the focus is typically on printed material such as corporate brochures, magazines, advertisement, annual reports, business cards, letterhead and the like. Furthermore, our clients find our design fees extremely competitive.

While we are independently owned and operated we are also part of a large and successful franchise (know as FASTSIGNS® in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and UK), which allows our clients to tap into a world wide knowledge base and sophisticated aids, designed to make ordering simple. Orders can be made by either email or by requesting a quote via our website.

Our electronic proofing system allows our clients to receive a visual of how a sign may look before it goes into production. Using this system allows them to comment, specify changes, request additional proofs, decline or accept proofs.

All past work is kept on our computer database, making re-ordering a simple process. Furthermore, details such as vinyl colours, pms values, dimensions, and artwork are all recorded and protected with an off-site back-up system.

How far away will your readers be from your sign? How long will they have to read it?

The Ron Carr Business Enterprise Award is an innitiative of the Rotary Club of Hawthorn that is supported by the City of Boroondara. The aim of this annual award is to encourage, recognise and publicise business enterprise in Boroondara. This year SIGNWAVE® Hawthorn was proud to be one of four finalists. Steve is co-owner of SIGNWAVE® Hawthorn. Steve had 14 years of corporate experience with Shell Australia and in senior roles has significant experience managing large projects. Starting SIGNWAVE® Hawthorn five years ago, Steve, along with co-owner, Tina Anderson, has grown the business into one of the largest and most successful SIGNWAVE® franchises in Australia and recently were awarded two growth and achievement awards at the recent convention in Orlando, Florida.

Along with Steve, Tina is a co-owner of SIGNWAVE®, Hawthorn and works full time in the business. Tina had 14 years of experience in senior Human Resources roles in large corporates to medium sized businesses. Tina understands the importance of accountability and building strong and enduring working relationships. Tina has an excellent understanding of customer service and business management and has played an integral part in the growth of the business.



ROBERT MCCRACKEN - B.Design
Graphic Designer

Rob is a qualified graphic designer with 6 years experience specifically in the signage area. He has worked on many projects combining the roles of design, layout, printing and installation.

Tammy performs a wide range of daily duties related predominantly to customer service and satisfaction, along with sales and marketing, store accounting and billing. Tammy constantly wins praise from our clients for her attention to detail, her cheery and happy disposition, the speed at which she delivers quotes and her genuine commitment to please all our clients.



DARREN AURISCH
Production

Darren heads up production. Darren undertook his apprenticeship in 1989 and has since had in excess of 13 years experience in the sign industry. Darren has had experience in all facets of the industry from vinyl and digital laying, fabrication and installation. Darren is praised for attention to detail and courteous manner.



BRAD O'CONNOR
Production

Brad completed his apprenticeship in 2002 and has worked in the industry since. Brad has also had extensive experience in all facets of the industry from vinyl and digital laying, fabrication and installation. Brad is also an artist of some repute having won several awards and prizes as well as having work hung in the coveted Salon Des Refuse (the alternative Archibald & Wynne prize) exhibition in Sydney.
